Chicco Thermo Distance Infrared Thermometer allows parents to measure the temperature, using just one hand, and while the baby is sleeping. There's no need to wake it up, thanks to the backlit display. Measures the baby's temperature in just 1 second and from a distance of 4-6 cm, without disturbing the child. A light/sensor alerts parents to know if they are using the thermometer correctly and at the required distance. It has a fever alarm, memorizes the last 10 measurements and turns off automatically. Useful for measuring forehead, food and bath temperature. With 4 functions: Test function; Function objects; Forehead/night function Objects/night function.
Before each measurement, the thermometer and the patient must remain in stable environmental conditions, in the same room, for at least 30 minutes.
1. Press the ON/OFF power button. The thermometer performs a self-test and all symbols appear simultaneously on the display.
2. A beep will follow and the display will show the symbols in the figure. Choose the role you want (human or objects).
3. Hold down the SCAN button to take the measurement. A symbol0 appears on the display, indicating measurement in progress.
4. Holding down the SCAN button, direct the infrared sensor towards the center of the forehead/object. When you are at the correct distance, the proximity light comes on and a continuous intermittent beep sounds.
5. Release the SCAN button. After about a second, an audible “beep” sounds, indicating that the temperature has been measured, and the measured temperature appears on the display.
6. After 30 seconds, the thermometer will automatically turn off, emitting a beep.
