The BUMI Cushion was developed with the purpose of preventing and correcting cranial deformities (plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and scaphocephaly) during the baby's first months of life.These deformities are produced by constant external pressure on the skull and may appear during pregnancy and/or when crossing the birth canal. They can still appear during the first year of life, especially in the first 4 months, and one of the main causes results from the positioning of the head during this period. The central cavity of the BUMI Cushion maximizes the support surface, reducing and evenly distributing the pressure exerted on the baby's head in the supine position (belly up). With an anatomical configuration, it adapts to the shape of the baby's head and allows freedom of movement and head rotation, strengthening the neck muscles and favoring the recovery of its rounded shape. The combination of these characteristics ensures an adequate positioning of the body, facilitating breathing and helping the baby to sleep better.Supplied with a carrying case for added protection, the BUMI Cushion is made of Softfeel polyurethane foam that distributes weight evenly across the entire surface.Its removable and washable outer lining is made of breathable 3D fabric, which promotes air circulation and allows the baby to breathe, giving it anti-suffocation characteristics. This fabric contains an extremely thin, waterproof, breathable and extensible film inside, which prevents liquids from penetrating the foam. With an antibacterial and anti-mite treatment, it guarantees the hygienic protection of the fabric in direct contact with the skin.
