Hyabak is indicated to moisturize and lubricate the eyes in cases of dryness or eye fatigue, as well as to lubricate lenses in cases of contact lens discomfort. Hyabak is an ophthalmic solution containing hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate 0.15%).
Sodium hyaluronate, a natural polysaccharide found in the human eye, retains moisture, hydrating and lubricating the surface of the eye. It maintains the tear layer on the surface of the eye, providing a lasting feeling of comfort and reducing the healing time of the ocular surface.
Hyabak is a sterile, phosphate-free, hypotonic solution with a neutral pH that is gentle on the eyes because it contains no preservatives. The lack of preservatives in the ABAK® bottle protects the eye tissue and also prevents reactions in users sensitive to preservatives.
