Unlike regular curcumin powder, Solgar starts with a 95% curcumin extract—the active form—standardized, purified, and concentrated from native turmeric root (Curcuma longa).
For the first time, Solgar wraps and encapsulates standardized curcumin extract in microscopic, water-loving spheres called micelles. These micelles are what make the difference in absorption. They're so microscopically small that they allow curcumin to pass easily into the bloodstream.
At this size, the micelles are virtually invisible and can transform from a dense, opaque powder into a crystal-clear liquid.
