Otifaes Calmadol Ear Drops 7g is a medical device indicated for the temporary relief of pain and itching in the external auditory canal. It contains glycerol and 0.5% lidocaine, providing triple action:

1. Reduces inflammation: Glycerol has an osmotic effect, helping to remove excess fluid from inflamed tissues

2. Relieves pain and itching: Lidocaine acts as a local anesthetic, providing immediate relief.

3. Protects the external auditory canal: Glycerol's oily texture forms 

Suitable for adults and children from 6 months onwards.

Glycerol

Lidocaine 0.5%

Tilt the head towards the affected ear.

Gently pull the earlobe in the opposite direction to the neck.

Open the bottle and place it upside down, pressing both sides to release 2 drops into the ear.

Keep the head tilted for a few minutes to allow the drops to penetrate the ear canal.

Remove excess liquid with a clean tissue.

It is recommended to cover the external ear canal with cotton after application.

Apply up to 2 drops in each ear, up to 3 times a day, for a maximum of 3 consecutive days. Do not use without prior medical evaluation, especially in children, to avoid masking other conditions and delaying appropriate treatment.

Precautions
Do not use if:

There is damage to the eardrum (e.g., chronic otitis media).
There is a known allergy to any component of the product.
There has been recent ear surgery or treatment.
The patient is under 6 months old.
There is prolonged swelling or pain, which may indicate bacterial or fungal external otitis.
There is ear discharge.

If symptoms worsen or persist after 3 days of application, consult a healthcare professional.
