1. Wash your hands and clean the breast with water or the practical Chicco cleansing wipes. 2. To improve the flow of milk, take a hot shower or apply a warm cloth over the breast just before expressing or breastfeeding. 3. Sit in a comfortable, relaxed position. 4. Fit the hood securely on the breast, making sure the nipple is well centered. It is possible to use the breast pump with or without the soft silicone protection. It is advisable to try both modes and choose the one that is most suitable and comfortable for you. 5. Gently press the handle until you feel the aspiration over the breast, and release it. You can adjust the pressure of the handle based on the level of traction felt at the breast or at the milk flow. It may not be necessary to press the handle all the way down. 6. Start with faster movements, pressing and releasing the handle, to stimulate milk extraction (initial stage of stimulation). Then, when the milk starts to come out, make slower movements, keeping the handle pressed for 1-2 seconds, and then release (extraction phase).
