Biopep 15 is an oligopeptide that demonstrates antimicrobial efficacy, with activity against twenty-four strains of Propionibacterium acnes and action against strains resistant to clindamycin, erythromycin and tetracyclines. It is a peptide of plant origin that reduces the proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes, the main bacteria involved in the development of acne. Its activity consists of selectively associating with the bacterial wall, without altering the skin cells and favoring tolerability.
