BioActivo Arroz Vermelho 2.5mg are tablets that contain 83.3mg of red yeast rice, whose activity has been tested and shown to be able to maintain normal levels of cholesterol in the body. Red yeast rice is controlled from environmental toxins such as citrinin, aflatoxin, dioxins and heavy metals. Red yeast rice is rice that has been fermented with the yeast Monascus purpureus, acquiring a reddish-purple color. Red yeast rice contains a variety of substances called monacolins, each identified with its own letter. Red yeast rice is well tolerated Studies have shown that red yeast rice supplements are generally well tolerated, however the amount of monacolin K in red rice supplements can vary considerably. Some contain very little or no monacolin K. It is important to choose supplements with stated amounts of monacolin K.

Take 1 tablet a day, with a meal (preferably with dinner). The tablet must be swallowed whole. Not recommended for under 20s
