VITIS Orthodontic wax can be applied to various types of orthodontic appliances (brackets, arches, or molar bands) that sometimes cause friction injuries with the tongue or the inside of the cheeks. The wax acts by creating a thin protective layer that prevents the formation of lesions.

VITIS Orthodontic wax is indicated for all wearers of orthodontic appliances. Its use is recommended in the first few days after the initial placement of the orthodontic appliance and after subsequent adjustments.

It is also useful before an orthodontic appointment if elements of the orthodontic appliance break. In addition, it can be applied whenever any discomfort arises during the procedure.

Apply the wax to the orthodontic appliance elements that are causing discomfort, forming a thin protective layer.

Cut a piece of wax large enough to cover the surface of the bracket or wire that is causing discomfort.

Soften the wax by rolling it between clean fingers for a few seconds.

Dry the area to be covered before applying the wax, using gauze or a cotton swab.

Place the wax on the bracket or wire, pressing lightly to ensure it adheres well.

Remove the wax after use
