The Medtronic Guardian™ 4 Sensor (MMT-7040) is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor that measures glucose in the fluid under your skin, for up to 7 days per sensor. It connects to the Guardian™ 4 transmitter and works with compatible systems such as the MiniMed™ 780G.

When used with the MiniMed™ 780G system, Medtronic states that no fingerstick calibration is needed. Each sensor is inserted with the One-press serter (MMT-7512), the only serter approved for this sensor, and is ready after a warm-up of up to 2 hours.

The transmitter sends data to compatible devices, such as the MiniMed™ 780G system.

Follow the user guide instructions to ensure proper insertion and sensor operation.

Do not use if taking medications containing acetaminophen (paracetamol), as this may interfere with glucose readings.

Do not use the sensor with MRI machines or other equipment that generates strong magnetic fields.

Avoid use if taking hydroxyurea, as it may affect sensor accuracy.
