Clean and dry the affected area. If you have a wound, cover it with a compress or bandage. Secure the cohesive band with one hand and place the outer side of the band on the skin. This will allow you to have more control while unrolling the tape/binding. Unroll enough length before starting to wrap around the skin so that the bandage is not too tight. Take the first lap without stretching. Continue to roll, but only in partially overlapping loops. Apply the bandage by stretching just enough to get the desired level of support. Remember to unwind a sufficient length of the bandage so as not to apply the product too tightly and to avoid circulation problems. If you feel numbness or tingling in the skin, remove the bandage and reapply without squeezing too tightly. If you continue to experience pain, seek medical attention. Tear off the band/ligation. Press the end of the band/bandage to secure it without stretching.
