BBraun Prontosan Wound Gel is a gel for cleaning and decontaminating wounds, composed of betaine (surfactant) and polyhexanide. Produced in a sterile closed system, free of endotoxins and ready for use.

 Features:

 Indicated for cleaning, decontaminating and moistening the bed of acute or chronic wounds. It can be used on colonized, critically colonized and infected wounds, as well as on degree I and II burns. It removes coatings, biofilms and prepares the wound bed to receive dressings. Sterile solution composed of PHMB and Undecylamidopropylbetaine. Regulates the pH of the wound. Non-cytotoxic. Prevents and removes biofilm. Active ingredient with low allergenic potential. Reduces healing time. Can remain open for up to 8 weeks after the seal is broken. Absorbs odors from wounds. Compatible with commonly used dressings. Clinically approved. Indicated for continuous use. Contraindications: Grade III and IV burns; Application on hyaline cartilage.
