This rectal ointment is recommended in the treatment of symptoms related to hemorrhoidal disease and its complications (eg eczema, anal fissure). Emoflon ointment covers and protects the epidermis; soothes inflamed and itchy skin, thus promoting skin regeneration. It reduces the dryness of the skin, thus contributing to the healing of lesions, and reduces the risk of cracks and lesions caused by defecation.

The use of rectal ointment once or twice a day is indicated. Apply hemorrhoid ointment around the anus, possibly after a bowel movement or a sitz bath, or apply a small amount of ointment (the size of a pea) to the rectum using the applicator. The applicator must be properly screwed onto the tube. Clean the applicator with hot soapy water and close the tube with the protective cap after use. It is recommended to wash your hands before and after using the ointment. The applicator can only be used by one person. The duration of this treatment depends on the improvement of symptoms, but this ointment can be used for up to 4 weeks without interruption. A physician should be consulted if symptoms do not improve after 1 to 2 weeks.
