1. Selecting the Right Product

Choose a product that offers the right level of sun protection for your child's skin. It should be specially formulated for young, sensitive skin and be age-appropriate.

2. Using the Correct Amount

Wear clothing whenever possible to protect skin from the sun. It's important to use a sufficient amount of product on exposed areas of skin. You can use the palm of your hand to measure the amount of lotion to apply: one measure equals a thick line of product that fills the entire length of your middle finger. As a general rule, we recommend: Between 3 and 5 years: use one to one and a half measures of product for each area (2 to 11) exposed to the sun. Use twice the amount for the face and neck (zone 1). From age 6: Use two measures of product for each of the zones (1 to 11) in the diagram that are exposed to the sun. The zones are as follows: 1. Face and Neck 2 and 3. Both arms 4. Chest 5.
